Delighted with the experience gained last month in Zahara de los Atunes in the Andalusian province of Cádiz, Cueva la Martina decided to offer from 15 to 30 June a special menu of four tuna dishes plus dessert:
“Tarantelo” is a triangular piece of tuna attached to the lower stomach and near the tail. “Mormo” are pieces that run through the tuna’s head, under the forehead and before the neck, similar to the upper back.
We believe it is important to know some nutritional information of this fish, available in any Spanish fish market:
The Atlantic bluefin tuna is an oily fish, rich in vitamins, phosphorus, magnesium, iron and iodine. It has 12% of fat rich in omega-3 acids, which helps reduce cholesterol and triglycerides. Thinning the blood it decreases the risk of atherosclerosis and thrombosis. It is rich in B vitamins as well as A and D. Worthy to mention are minerals such as phosphorus and magnesium and the high amount of iodine, which benefits our metabolism, regulates the cholesterol and helps to process carbohydrates.
If you like fish, do not miss the opportunity to enjoy our special, Almadraba-fished tuna menu in Cueva La Martina! We look forward to welcoming you!
